Unifying the meaning of data
to improve the quality of healthcare
We work to make sense of healthcare, to make better decisions, and to make people and society prosper.
We are a consulting firm specializing in understanding the challenges faced by healthcare organizations in this new era of information, the era of Health Data.
Where is your data?
Veratech + Marina Salud
"It has been a very positive experience to be able to work with Veratech on our data integration to the OMOP-CDM (EHDEN) standard."
They have accompanied us throughout the process, providing the technical value required at each stage of the project, which has allowed us to meet the deadlines and successfully complete the project.
Veratech x Hospital Universitario 12 Octubre
The construction of a standardized repository requires a multidisciplinary team with expertise in health information.
The VeraTech for Health team has been perfectly integrated with the work team of our center, providing its extensive knowledge and experience around the processes of extraction, transformation, and loading of data based on standards, this being a differential value for the achievement, in time, of the objectives set in the EHDEN project.
Veratech x Instituto de Salud Carlos III
Veratech constitutes a solid reference in the technological support of our research lines.
It has provided us with services and tools of excellent quality and capabilities, at the forefront in the management and standardization of health-related data. It is also very remarkable the scientific and informative contribution of its team that we have been able to enjoy through its publications, workshops, and training activities.
Veratech x Servei Català de Salut
Veratech has helped us take our first steps in modeling archetypes and templates according to the openEHR standard.
It has provided a solid basis for training Servei Català de la Salut professionals in the use of this standard, has helped to deploy a governance model for the management of clinical information models, and has collaborated closely in the implementation of the first information models that will be part of our new electronic health record platform; a highly strategic project for our health system.
Veratech x INCLIVA
The adventure of standardizing a large health database into OMOP format has come to a successful conclusion at INCLIVA, thanks to the assistance of VeraTECH.
By providing clarity in the challenging conversion processes required, VeraTECH has enabled us at INCLIVA to successfully tackle the transition of a population database from the Valencian Community, which includes complete tracking over 5 years of nearly 4 million individuals (of legal age), to the European standard of the EHDEN project. VeraTECH has thus allowed our foundation's researchers to access data in another way, providing continuity to various projects that require access to retrospective data from the Clinical History of Patients in our Community, a fundamental reason for INCLIVA's existence.
Committed to the
advancement of health
Our innovation team is working on several projects to transform the future of healthcare.
Industrialization of the data standardization process
Development of methods that facilitate the transformation of existing data in organizations to a target standard. It covers both the structural part of the information, e.g. transforming existing data to a norm/standard such as openEHR, OMOP, or HL7 FHIR, and the terminological transformation (encoding).
Natural Language Processing
Detection in the clinical text of mentions of entities present in terminologies such as SNOMED CT or ICD10. The objective is to obtain structured information from natural language texts.
Semantic data repositories
Development of clinical document repositories with full support for the SNOMED CT logic model to allow the execution of complex queries guided by this terminology. We are working to allow queries of the type "clinical cases containing a mention of mitral valve disease other than insufficiency".

Science behind the data
OpenEHR - ISO 13606 - HL7 FHIR
Can OpenEHR, ISO 13606, and HL7 FHIR work together? An agnostic perspective for the selection and application of EHR standards in Spain.
Due to the heterogeneity of Electronic Health Record (EHR) standards, decision-making teams, who are not experts in health information, express confusion in selecting and applying these resources in their data platforms.
